The staff of Prairie State Semen, Inc. is made up of a very diverse set of individuals. Although many of us have worked in various segments of the industry over the course of our careers, we are all on the same page here at PSSS regarding customer service and attention to detail.

Jon Fisher
Jon started Prairie State Semen, Inc. in the fall of 1995. Since the inception of PSSS, they have shipped semen into 49 states and 12 foreign countries. PSSS was the first company in the world to successfully clone herd boars from adult founders using somatic cell nuclear transfer. Jon graduated from Unity High School in 1991; Missouri Auction School in 1992; and the University of Illinois (agricultural economics) in 1995. Jon serves as President/Dir. Marketing for Prairie State Semen, Inc.
Jon is married to Karla. Karla works in accounting at an institution up in Champaign. They have two children, Jonathon (11) and Reagan (1), a spoiled Black Lab (Wrigley), and a basset hound (Buddy Love).
Jon’s hobbies include attending Fighting Illini sporting events, Louisville Bat games, Chicago Cub sporting events (he attended the most famous Cub game of all time, when Steve Bartman reached over and interfered with a foul ball during the NLCS), and visiting friends and family. Karla’s family resides in the greater Louisville area and they try to visit as often as possible with their busy work schedule and Jonathon’s sports schedule. Jon attends Friendship Lutheran Church in Champaign.

Brandon started at PSSS in May 2002. Prior to PSSS, Brandon attended Lake Land College and Michigan State University earning a degree in Animal Science and Agribusiness. His duties at PSSS include sale, handling key accounts, photos, and boar selection. At home Brandon and his uncle own 50 sows for the production of club pigs. Brandon's hobbies and interests
include watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball, Bears football, and any good college game, along with enjoying golfing, fishing, and judging swine shows across the country. He is also a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Shumway, IL.

Dustin Bauer
Dustin started at PSSS in November of 2007. Prior to working at PSSS, Dustin worked for the USDA meat grading service. Dustin is a 2006 graduate of Western Illinois University. Prior to attending WIU, he went to Black Hawk East and was a member of Dan Hoge's judging team. Dustin is still involved in his families farming operation. They currently have 60 crossbred ewes and 10 sows at the home farm in St. Joseph, MO. Dustin's hobbies include cooking and hanging out with friends. Dustin is a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Champaign, IL.
